Situated in a quiet corner of the closest ‘Loke’ to the quay, a moment or two from the Blakeney’s pretty harbour, The Wash House was originally a communal laundry for the adjacent fishermen’s cottages!
This unusual cottage has a contemporary style, with underfloor heating beneath the slate flooring, luxury fitted kitchen with dining table, large corner sofa, DVD and TV.
The ground floor master bedroom has a superking (6ft) bed with Hypnos mattress, it’s own wall mounted TV and plenty of storage. It is partially screened from the living area by chunky oak posts and you can star gaze from the through the large lantern roof lights (equipped with electric black out blinds too, of course) while you fall asleep. Outside is a small seating area with gets the afternoon sun and makes a nice spot for papers & morning coffee!
On the first floor is a second bathroom with shower cubicle and pretty single bedroom with views across the loke. A pull out ‘trunkle’ bed is also available for a child or occasional use. Plus there is a separate downstairs bathroom with bath and hand held shower.
Specification: Underfloor heating; electric oven and hob; Nexpresso Coffee machine with complimentary coffee; dish washer; microwave; fridge with freezer compartment; washer/dryer; iron & ironing board; hair dryer; TV, DVD, iPod dock, Wi-Fi (high speed fibre broadband); selection of books & DVDs; telephone; equipped with fine white linens, towels and luxury toiletries.
The Wash House doesn’t have its own parking, but there is free parking on the road nearby & the large free village hall car park is a 10 minute stroll. The quay car park is also free to National Trust members or costs £5 per day.
Prices are for two people using just the master bedroom. Use of the second bedroom or additional guests is charged at £15 per person, per night, minimum £45.
All our self-catering breaks are inclusive of fine cotton linens, big fluffy towels, luxury toiletries and utilities. The Wash House is non-smoking but a well behaved pet is accepted by prior arrangement, at £25 per booking.

Thank you for equipping The Wash House so well. Pickle’s [dog friendly] tips were brilliant and The White Horse provided tasty dog treats while a great glass of Malbec was enjoyed! We will be back!
